Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Specifications Review

Samsung has announced their latest Tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0 on the Recent MWC 2013 (Mobile World Congress) which is said to be the newest rival of Apple’s IPad Mini. Note 8.0 at the first glance looks so attractive because of its slim and shiny build design. If you have noticed, Note 8.0 is a super sized version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Note 8.0 are gearing up by an 8-inch touch screen which features a resolution of 1280 x 800 that gives sharper and accurate graphics to display, yet the Google Nexus 7 has a bit better display compared to Note 8.0 because it has 189ppi. PIPO is well known and has a good reputation in manufacturing such quality PC Tablets yet with an affordable price. One of their newest products was the PIPO M9, a 10.1 inch IPS capacitive touch screen and it is powered by the latest Rockchip RK3188. If you were not concern about the brand of the product you will definitely love the performance of M9, because obviously PIPO is not popular brand in the Philippines.

The big question here is “how’s the performance of M9 in terms of battery life?” Well, M9 won’t disappoint you because it is packed by Lithium ion 7800mAh that could last for about 15 to 18 hours of normal usage.

Overall, PIPO M9 is perfect tablet for a gamer because of its beast internal specs it has. The only downside for “ME” was its design which is too simple as well as its screen size. 10.1-inch is too big for me. It would be better if they create a mini version of M9, 8-9.7-inch will be better. It is worth $249 which is a decent price for the performance you can take.

Samsung Introduced Samsung Galaxy Star and the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo

After Samsung released their extraordinary Smartphone with exceptional specs, they just recently announced two new handsets, but this time, the two devices are in line with the entry level Smartphone. Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Star and the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo which are almost identical to each other in terms of specs and appearance and hopefully as well as its price.

If you were familiar with Lava XOLO A1000 (you can Google it if you want) the build design is purely the same on the leaked photo that's why techies tends to come up with a scheme that it would be probably the Lava XOLO A1000. This concept is possible because most of Cherry Mobile smartphone are re branded only.

At the first glance, you will definitely noticed that it sports a bigger screen to project that made it to consider to join with the phablet group.It measures 5.2inches which is 0.2 bigger than the Titan. If you held it on you bare hand, it feels to big and I'm not to comfortable to grip it because of the hesitation that it might slip on my hand but for sure your hand will be trained because of your using every now and then. We are expecting that omega will be fueled by 1GB RAM which is perfect to partnered with a bigger but sad to say that they stick again to their epic 512MB RAM, but still you can play most of the heavy games but you might experienced some lags and hiccups which is an ordinary problem of most budget phones. the edge of Omega that outshines other cheap phablet is, it run with the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is smoother and faster than with the ICS. Through out testing it, I haven't experienced lags except when you open a games, it open a little bit slowly.

I love how the Omega looks like, even though its cuts were just the same with other cherry mobile android line up. It sports a 5.2 inch screen display which is 0.2 bigger than the Titan, you will definitely enjoy watching movie on its larger screen and It has 5 multi-touch point for your gaming stuffs. 

It is powered by 1GHz Dual-core Processor which gives a smooth and snappy touch experience and it runs the latest android os which is the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and with some rumors that it is upgradable into limepie. I was bit disappointed with the its RAM in which we expect that it will be fueled by 1GB RAM but it is equipped by 512MB only. The battery life is satisfactory that offers 2300mAh battery. 

It featured a 5 megapixels rear camera and VGA Camera for video calling in which we expect 8 megapixels camera. It has Dual Sim capability and 3G and WiFi Connectivity for browsing the web anywhere you are. You can choose into two different colors such as balck and white. 

All in all, Cherry Mobile has a sleek design and a good screen display with good battery life. I was just unsatisfied with the camera and of course the RAM as compared to what we expecting but still the pricing is affordable and decent. For the the price of Php 6,699  you may now experience a smartphone that runs android jellybean, infact this is the cheapest android jellybean phone that i know.
